RILEY COUNTY—One person was injured in an accident just before 10p.m. Friday in Riley County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported Geary County Deputies were in pursuit of a 2020 Kia Forte driven by Mose E Allen, 58 Manhattan, eastbound on Kansas 18 five miles southwest of Manhattan.
Allen lost control of the car. It struck both the right side and the left side of the bridge wall and came to a rest in the center median.
EMS transported Allen to Stormont Vail-Flint Hills. He was also not wearing a seat belt, according to the KHP. Authorities have not released what prompted the chase.
