United Way of Junction City / Geary County is rolling out the Dolly Parton Imagination Library. Nichole Mader, United Way Executive Director, said they are able to provide books for children birth to age five from a grant through the Kansas Masonic Literacy Center. "Basically they get one book per month, parents can get them signed up, they have to live in Geary County. But it's a completely free program."
To sign up you can call the United Way Office at 785-238-2117, stop in at 139 East 8th Street. There will also be sign up forms throughout the community. United Way will be at the Junction City Expo as well in Heritage Park from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday. "We'll have sign up forms there as well, " said Mader.
