Shawn Augustine, the principal of St. Francis Xavier Catholic School, announced the school is holding an urgent open forum on Wednesday night to discuss the future of St. Francis Xavier Catholic School. The open forum will begin at 5:30 p.m. in the St. Xavier gym.

Due to financial restraints, the future of the St. Francis Xavier Catholic School's middle school and high school is being decided. The current options are keeping the school as is or reducing the school down to Pre-K through fifth grade.

"It is pertinent that our school families, parishioners, and the community is made aware of the situation," said Principal Shawn Augustine.

The forum is open to all of Junction City and the surrounding communities. The forum will include remarks by Principal Augustine and a question and answer format.

The school's address is 200 N. Washington St. in Junction City.
