MANHATTAN, Kan. – Coming off a game in which Kansas State rushed for 343 yards and produced 587 total yards of offense in a 41-3 victory over TCU, senior left guard Cooper Beebe has been named the Outland Trophy National Player of the Week, the Football Writers Association of America (FWAA) announced Tuesday.

It is the first time this year Beebe has earned a weekly national award as, for the first time, the FWAA is selecting an Outland Trophy National Player of the Week as part of the National College Football Awards Association weekly national honors from 12 awards. Following the UCF game earlier this season, running back DJ Giddens was named the Doak Walker Award National Running Back of the Week.

Beebe pushed his streak without allowing a sack to 36 games and 1,041 pass blocking plays, which dates back to the Iowa State contest in 2020 (according to Pro Football Focus). He made his 42nd career start against the Horned Frogs, including his 39th-straight start, the most by an active player on this year’s team. His 42 career starts are three shy of entering the top five among K-State offensive linemen since 1990.
