Fall Downtown is happening next week on Thursday, September 25th, 4-7PM! The event will be hosted all across our downtown area from 6th to 10th on N Washington St, from Jefferson to Franklin!

● We are just a few weeks away from Oktoberfest! Save the date: Friday, October 3rd and Saturday, October 4th! Authentic German beer will be flowing, complimented by traditional Oktoberfest food and fun for the entire family. We'll host live music, kids fun zone, and competitions of strength, stamina & yodeling!

● Boos and Brews is coming to Downtown JC in October 2025! Join Junction City Main Street for our Second Annual Boos and Brews events happening on Friday October 17th and Friday October 24th. Embark on a journey in Downtown JC that's sure to bring chilling tales, delightful ales, and lots of frightful fun! Junction City Main Street Market This Saturday, September 20th the Market will feature Junk in the Trunk! Instead of hosting a garage or yard sale, come be part of Junk in the Trunk and let your junk be another person’s treasure. Then check out the last market of the season Saturday, September 27th for pet adoption day with the JC Animal Shelter. Interested in having a booth? Register here! Both events run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 901 N Washington St.

Geary Community Farmers Market

All Treats Day is slotted for October 30th at 5:15PM! The Junction City Area Chamber of Commerce invites the community for a fun evening of trick-or-treating downtown. Squid Syndicate will also be hosting a trunk-or-treat that evening, in the grassy property at 901 N Washington St.

Law Enforcement Block Party | Saturday, September 20th at 5-8PM | Heritage Park

The annual Law Enforcement Block Party takes place at Heritage Park (6th & Washington) and offers fun for the whole family. This community event builds strong police-community partnerships while bringing neighbors together. Enjoy free food and drinks, plenty of family activities, and an evening of entertainment with Rod Sipe.

Car enthusiasts are also invited to join the informal Car Show—no registration, no judging, just a chance to showcase classic muscle cars and supercars. To participate, bring your vehicle between 5:00 and 8:00 p.m. For details, contact Sgt. Eliel Borges at 785-210-4757 or 785-762-5912.

Step into the thrilling world of dinosaurs as Dinosaur Dimensions: Expedition takes over the C.L. Hoover Opera House on Saturday, October 4, with performances at 2:00 PM and 7:00 PM. All tickets are just $10.

Audiences will be transported to a fully immersive Jungle Laboratory where science meets spectacular adventure. Highlights include:

● A massive Brachiosaurus neck appearing on stage

● A towering Dilophosaurus racing through the theater

● Live science experiments that bring the story to life

● A fast-paced storyline with colorful characters

Flags of Geary County: “Proudly United, Community Ignited” 2026 is America’s 250th birthday! To celebrate, Junction City Main Street invites you to take part in the Flag Project supporting multiple local organizations. For a small donation, Main Street will place and remove a leased 3x5 ft U.S. flag on a 10 ft pole in front of your home or business on seven major holidays throughout the year. Flags will not be displayed in the event of rain.
