Emily Brooks is a junior in the Business, Public Service, Hospitality (BPSH) Academy at Junction City High School,  She was nominated by her genetics and microbiology teacher, Adrienne Nelson. Emily is a straight A student, who represents the tenets in The Optimist Creed, is helpful when working with others, is kind and focused on learning.  The Student of the Month is selected by the JCHS Junior Optimist Club from a pool of nominations from the high school's teachers.  

Emily plans to pursue a career in law enforcement after graduation from high school.  She is the daughter of Krista and Robert Brooks and twin sister to Stephanie.

Emily received a framed certificate from the JC Breakfast Optimist Club and a $25.00 gift certificate from JC's BBQ &amp; Grill.&nbsp;&nbsp;
