Sam Yoskowitz feels that you should serve your community and be the change that you want to see. She is seeking election to a seat on the Junction City Commission. Yoskowitz is a project management professional.
"Overall I do think we have to acknowledge reality in order to change it." Her top three priorities are to retain, engage and grow. "We should retain citizens and give them a return on their investment. Engage them to know what's actually going on on their behalf and on behalf of their tax dollars, and of course then we can grow our town."
Yoskowitz favors forming proceses that create a consistent and accountable experience for the public. She has highlighted issues including unqualified handouts of taxpayer money, the need to support local youth, especially the teenagers, and a need to audit officials.
Other candidates for city commission include Jim Germann, Terry Butler, Kelly Niemczyk, Joe Markley and Robert Laster. Three seats are up for election.
The election is November 4.
