43.60% of the registered voters went to the polls in Geary County for the general election. Winners in some of the local races are undetermined at this point. The canvass of the votes will be held at 9.m. Nov. 15. There are 706 provisional ballots to be reviewed.

County Clerk Courtney Gilbert: "I believe the closer races, for example Commissioner District 2 and Sheriff, we really won’t know ‘for sure’ who the winner is until after the canvas."

In the Second District County Commission race Kathy Tremont has received 1,441 votes so far compared to 1,313 for Alex Tyson. In the race for Sheriff Nathan Boeckman has received 4,352 votes while Eric Coffman has received 3,998.
