The Friends of the Dorothy Bramlage Public Library has identified four dates when they will offer the acceptance of curbside donations of items for the annual fall book sale. All dates are Saturdays and include: August 12, September 2, September 23 and October 14. This service will take place at the north entrance from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. each morning.
The friends prefer receiving gently used hardback and paperback books, audiobooks and DVDs for these donation dates. Donations can also be accepted anytime during regular library hours which include Mondays-Thursdays from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Fridays from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Sundays from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m.
Donations of more than five items must be in a bag or box and no more than five boxes or bags will be accepted per family. Bags and boxes will not be returned. Receipts can be provided upon request.
The fall book sale will be held in November and will feature the best-of-the-best donated items. Current friends members can get first pick on Thursday, November 2nd from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. The sale will open to the public on Friday, November 3rd from Noon to 6:00 p.m. and continue on Saturday, November 4 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. A bag sale will be held from 1:00 to 2:00 on November 4.
Friends can check the status of their memberships any time before or during the sale. New members are also welcome to join anytime. In addition to the members only sale, those with a current membership will receive a 25% discount on all of their book sale purchases.
