Elected officers for the junction City Association of Retired School Personnel for 2024-25 were installed on Friday during a meeting in the Fellowship Area of the Zion United Church of Christ. Those officers include Sheila Ritchie, Treasurer; Nita Miller, Secretary; Anita Rogge, Vice President and Dr. Ferrell Miller, President.
This is the 60th year of the organization. Their purpose is to provide a framework through which retired school personnel can continue a life of service to fellow members, their active colleagues, and the community.
Ian Quigley was awarded the JCARSP Scholarship, which is given to a graduating senior from Junction City High School who will pursue a degree in education. Ian plans to attend Fort Hays University and major in music education.
Nita Miller, JCARSP Secretary and monitor of the group’s Community Service Hours reported that members of JCARSP have volunteered 8,322 hours in the community.
