Geary County Fish & Game Association will be collecting and using discarded Christmas Trees in an environmentally beneficial way.
The plan for this year is to grind the trees for use as mulch where needed around the Sportsman’s Acres property. When you take down your tree this year, take it to the collection point on the empty lot at the corner of 14th & Jackson streets in Junction City.
A date has been set for pick up and transport of the trees on Saturday, 16 January, so be sure to get your trees there before then.
If you can help move the trees, show up at 9:00 am at 14th & Jackson with gloves, maybe a truck or trailer, and start loading!!
