Junction City Commissioners addressed different issues this week.
--The governing body authorized the Land Bank to donate lots for a future park and fire station on the west side of town. The new fire station could be years in the future. Members of the city commission also comprise the Land Bank but the two entities operate separately.
--Commissioners scheduled a City budget amendment hearing for Dec. 19th.
--It was noted that the next meeting of the new Metropolitan Planning Commission / Board of Zoning Appeals will be Jan.9th. Kendall Schoenrock is chairman of the board.
--Commissioner Bob Storey noted that the Military Affairs Council of the Junction City Area Chamber of Commerce wants to be more involved in the community in 2024. Planning is under way.
