Junction City scored 71 team points and finished third in the Class 6A Regional Wrestling Tournament Saturday at Wichita Southeast. Wichita South scored 111 points to finish first and Salina Central 82 points to finish second in the nine team tournament.
In the individual weight class competition the top four finishers in each weight class advance to this next week's substate tournament.
For Junction City, at 109 pounds Laila Lesher finished second, Charly Goodwin third in the 115 pound weight class, Zahirah Tanaka fourth at 126 pounds, Brooke Swango third at 138 pounds, Aislynn Bailey third 143 at pounds while Misty Eagle also recorded a fifth place finish at 170 pounds.
