Society of the 1st Infantry Division Executive Director and former Junction City Commissioner Phyllis Fitzgerald is preparing to move later this year to Collinwood, Tennessee.
She is an active participant and volunteer on many community projects in Junction City, but she and husband, Keith Fitzgerald, plan to make the move in August to be closer to her family. She will continue to serve as the executive director of the Society of the 1st Infantry Division until August, and possibly longer.
Fitzgerald served as mayor of Junction City in 2017 and as a member of the city commission from 2015 to 2020. She has been a resident of Junction City since 1999 and before that during her military career was stationed at Fort Riley from 1989 to 1993. She served with the 1st Infantry Division during Desert Storm.
