Host families are needed for Junction City Brigade baseball players this summer. There are currently 22 players needing a home for the summer.

Cinco said benefits include season tickets for your family, recognition at a family game and enhanced opportunities if you have young children. "It worked out for me personally because I've got an 8 year old boy at home. His love for baseball turned way up." Cinco's family hosted three players last summer.

You will need to provide a bed for the player, accessibility to a kitchen and food, somewhere for them to do their laundry and the comforts of home that you would want for your child if they were being hosted at someone's house.

Cecil Aska, Brigade General Manager, said that a host family person also gets a discount on merchandise at the ballpark. "We've got really good kids that we're bringing in from other communities." This is an opportunity to learn about other communities.

The players are expected the week of May 22. The first game is May 29. The season runs through the middle to third week of July. You can call Raquel at 323-270-5497 or go on the Brigade web site to the host family tab to sign up to be a host family.
