POTTAWATOMIE COUNTY —Two people were injured in an accident just after 8:30a.m. Tuesday in Pottawatomie County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2023 Dodge Durango driven by Eric Martens, 49, Westmorland, was southbound on Lake Elbo Road three and one half miles east of St. George. The driver failed to yield at U.S. 24. The SUV collided with an eastbound 2024 Ford F250 driven by David Manges, 56, Manhattan. After impact the SUV rotated counterclockwise. The vehicle's passenger side rear corner collided with the driver’s side pickup bed of the Ford.
EMS transported Manges and a 23-year-old passenger to Stormont Vail-Manhattan and Martens to the hospital in Onaga. All three were properly restrained, according to the KHP.
