LOGAN COUNTY —One person was injured in an accident just before 1a.m. Friday in Logan County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2010 Chevy Impala driven by Jaylen Z. Cruse, 23, Manhattan, was westbound on U.S. 40 just west of 330th Road. The car crossed the centerline and struck a 2024 Freightliner semi head-on. After impact the car came to rest in the south ditch after being pushed 75 feet by the semi. The semi came to rest in the north ditch.
EMS transported Cruse to Citizens Medical Center in Colby. The semi driver Mouanoutoua Van Pein, 34, Thornton, Colorado, was not injured. Both drivers were properly restrained, according to the KHP.
