Work has been underway on a new substation for the Geary County Sheriff's Department near Milford Reservoir. Trish Giordano, County Commission Chair, said Monday that the Department is supposed to receive the substation keys on July 9.
The substation, located on Rural Water District 4 property near the lake, will host dive team and marine units.
