GEARY COUNTY—Three people were injured just before 11a.m. Friday in Geary County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2003 Ram 1500 driven Flores Armando Montano, 64, Thornton, Colorado, was westbound on the westbound off-ramp of Interstate 70 at the K-177 exit. The driver stopped at the stop sign and continued through the intersection, crossing in front of a 2002 Freightliner semi driven by Steven Lee Hanson, 66,  Leonardville.

The semi struck the pickup on the driver's side. The impact pushed the pickup into a 2018 Ram 2500 that was  legally parked on the west shoulder of the southbound lanes of K-177.  The driver from Florida was not in the 2018 pickup at the time of the crash.

EMS transported Montano and two adult male passengers to Ascension Via Christi.   The KHP had incomplete seat belt usage information.
