The Freedom Fest Parade was a Fourth of July highlight in Junction City.

Parade award winners included the Youth Award for Clarabel's Dance Citadel. Most Patriotic to Cavalry Baptist Church, Best Use of Theme to the American Legion Post 45 and Best In Show was the American Pro Wrestling Wrestling entry.

Other Fourth of July activities ranged from the Veterans Ceremony to concerts, a carnival and the Freedom Run.
