Jim William Stalder, 64, of Detroit, Kansas passed away November 20, 2024. He was born September 8, 1960 in Junction City, Kansas, the son of John W. and Elizabeth A. (Emery) Stalder. He graduated from Chapman High School in 1979.
On September 18, 1982 he married his high school sweetheart Deanna Beetch at New Basel Church in rural Abilene. Jim worked at Pioneer Farm and Ranch for 20 years before moving to work for Stalder Auto for 24 years as a service tech .
Jim is survived by his loving wife Deanna, his two sons: Casey and wife Abbey of De Soto, Kansas and Cole and wife Sarah of Chapman, Kansas. Three grandchildren: Ava Brown, and Joslyn and Fallon Stalder. His parents, John and Elizabeth Stalder and three brothers, Joe and wife Bari of Chapman, Tom and wife Audrey of Overbrook, Kansas and Mark and wife Lisa of Chapman.
Jim was a big KU basketball and KC Chiefs fan, a NASCAR fan and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also loved to play the lottery. Memorial Services for Jim will be 1:00 P.M., Tuesday, November 26th, at the Chapman United Methodist Church. Family will receive friends and family on Monday, November 25th from 5 to 7 pm at the Chapman United Methodist Church.
Jim’s final resting place will be at the Detroit Cemetery. The family suggests memorials be given to the Jim Stalder memorial fund.
