Linda C. Reedy, 73 of Abilene passed away March 30, 2024. She was born November 24, 1950 in Del Norte, Colorado to Ralph and Jerrine Arey. She was adopted at the age of two to Frank and Florence (DeGrofft) Bohnson. She grew up in the Clinton, Iowa area and graduated from Clinton High School. On September 8, 1969 she was united in marriage to George Dean Reedy in Illinois. He preceded her in death February 1, 2015. She worked for Sprint for 25 years as a dispatcher, accounting department and as a programmer. Linda and George moved to Abilene in 1974 after living in the Kansas City area for 10 years. Linda was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Enterprise. She had a love for all kinds of animals and often donated to various animal organizations.
Linda is survived by her daughter, Michelle Kolling and husband Steve of Abilene. Grandson, Michael Kolling. One sister, Jan Johnson. She was preceded in death by her parents, six brothers and one sister.
Funeral services for Linda will be 10:30 a.m., Friday, April 5, 2024 at the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Enterprise. Linda will be laid to rest next to her husband at the Kansas Veteran’s Cemetery, with graveside services taking place at 1:00 p .m. on Friday. Family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Danner Funeral Home.
