The fourth annual Oktoberfest will bring crowds to downtown Junction City on Friday and Saturday. Washington Street between 6th and 10th Streets will be blocked off for the event.
One of the coordinators, Matt Hoover said that there will be food and beverage vendors, five beer vendors, cider plus approximately 50 craft and merchant vendors.
There will be multiple bands performing including Brass Rewind from 6-9 p.m. Friday, Der Manhattan 1-3 p.m. Saturday and Jolly Dutchmen Band 4-7 p.m. Saturday on stage at 8th and Washington.
There will be two kids zones and a car show.
Contests range from stein carrying and stein holding to a hammerschlagen contest. There will also be street fire shows and dances.
Admission to Oktoberfest is free.
