Sherri Childs is the new Geary County Treasurer.
Childs took the oath of office that was presented by Geary County Clerk Rebecca Nordyke at the County Office Building Tuesday morning. Childs said she is excited for the new challenge. "It's something different. I've managed the office for many years. There's things that I haven't done so now I get to do those, so it'll be something new and something different."
Childs has announced the appointment of longtime Treasurer's Office employee Linda Caraballo as the new Office Manager.
