The organizers of Sundown Salute do not intend to have the celebration Labor Day weekend in Junction City as originally hoped. The chairman for Sundown Salute this year, Charles Stimatze, confirmed that future events are however, still being planned.
In the past Sundown Salute was traditionally a Fourth of July celebration.
