Tyler Atkins led the Junction City Blue Jay boys cross country team with a first place finish in the Manhattan Invitational on Saturday. He turned in a time of 16:10.5 in the varsity boys race. Isaiah Smith of Junction City finished 16th in 17:25.0.
The Blue Jays finished sixth out of eleven teams.
In the girls varsity race Lorna Rae Pierce led the way for Junction City with a 12th place finish n 10:29. Brynna York finished 26th in 21:29 and Reagan McGuire 29th in 21:43.
The Lady Jays finished seventh out of nine teams.
