There are 44 entries signed up for the 28th annual Junction City Area Chamber of Commerce Christmas Parade sponsored by Eagle Radio and the Geary County Convention and Visitors Bureau. The parade is scheduled for this Friday at 5:30 p.m. The number of entries has increased from 28 on Nov. 10th.
The parade theme will be "A Christmas Carol" where you can bring your favorite holiday song to life. There will also be the annual Heritage Park lighting and Santa Claus will be in the park to meet with kids after the parade.
If you’d like your entry to be judged, it should be set up by 4:30 PM. Lineup will take place in the former Junction City High School parking lot (900 Eisenhower Dr). Entries may begin setting up in the parking lot at 3:00 PM. If you would like more information on the parade awards, please click here.
The rows will be marked on both sides. The parade will travel from the parking lot to 6th St., then east on 6th St. to Washington, and then north on Washington to 8th St. You may exit the parade at 8th and Washington.
The parade will be broadcast on 107.9 FM / 1420 KJCK and livestreamed on JC Post beginning at 5:30 p.m.
