The Court Appointed Special Advocates of the Eighth Judicial District (CASA) received a Masonic Grant award of $5,000 from the Union Lodge #7 Masons. The donation from the Masons is to benefit the CASA program, which has a mission to advocate for the best interests of children who have been abused, neglected, and/or human trafficked.
Crystal Quinn, the Executive Director of CASA of the Eighth Judicial District, stated that CASA volunteers are appointed by Judges to speak up for these children in court, ensuring their voices are heard and their needs are met as they navigate the foster care system.

It means the world to have the local Masonic Lodge supporting CASA,” Quinn said. “It shows they care about the well-being of kids in our community. Their support helps us reach more children who need a voice and a champion in their corner.”

Local and state officials attended the check presentation, including Junction City Commissioner Ronna Larson and State Representatives Nate Butler and Shawn Chauncey.
