Junction City opened the 2022 high school baseball season with a varsity win over Salina Central, 12-9. A seven-run seventh inning power the Blue Jays to the win in the nine inning contest.
In the JV game in Salina the Mustangs prevailed over the Blue Jays 8-2.
The teams rematch again Friday at Rathert Field in Junction City. The JV contest starts at 4 p.m. and the varsity at 6 p.m.
