JUNCTION CITY, Kan. – Geary County Schools USD 475 is proud to announce that it had 1,042 students from throughout the district earn the 95-0-3.0 Thrive Award for their work during the second semester of the 2023-24 school year.
“I am incredibly proud of all of our students who were able to receive this honor for their hard work in the classroom last spring. We look forward to our numbers being even higher in 2024-25 because our teachers and staff have been really working hard,” said Dr. Reginald Eggleston, USD 475 Superintendent of Schools.
Overall, USD 475 had 500 students receive the award at its elementary schools, while 542 students were honored at the secondary level.
To receive this honor, students, who were recognized at their respective schools with a special certificate throughout the months of September and October, had to achieve 95% attendance, 0 discipline referrals and a 3.0 GPA during the first semester.
