RILEY COUNTY —Law enforcement are investigating a series of vehicle thefts that occurred over the weekend in Riley County.
On Friday, a 30-year-old woman reported an unknown suspect was seen on video opening her vehicle in the 900 Block of Walnut in Riley and taking it overnight without permission, according to the Riley County Police Department activity report. Total estimated loss associated with this report is $8,000.
On Sunday, four victims reported the theft of a black 2016 Nissan Altima in the 700 block of Allison Avenue. Total loss for the contents of the vehicle including an iPad, Airpods, military gear and tools, is approximately $3,500. Total loss associated with the vehicle is over $11,000.
Just before 3p.m. Sunday, a 20-year-old man reported a 2002 Honda Elite 80 moped was stolen from a back yard in the 800 Block of Kearney Street. Total loss associated with this report is approximately $1,200.
Just before 8:30p.m. Sunday, a 24-year-old man reported his 201o silver Honda Accord was taken by an unknown subject in the 400 Block of Knox Lane, according to the Riley County Police Department activity rep ort. Total loss associated with this report is approximately $12,000.

Meanwhile, the RCPD also reported the recovery of stolen 2000 Ford F250 at the corner of Westwood and Fort Riley Blvd. Police returned the vehicle to the owner.
