DICKINSON COUNTY—Two people were injured in an accident during a law enforcement pursuit just before 10:30a.m. Tuesday in Dickinson County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2005 BMW 645 Series driven by Joseph A. Hernandez, 35, Fort Collins, Colorado, was westbound on Interstate 70 actively fleeing and eluding law enforcement.
The car left the roadway and vaulted over Jeep Road. The car came to rest on the west side of Jeep Road just north of the Interstate.
EMS transported Hernandez and a passenger 34-year-old Maria G. Hernandez of Fort Collins to Salina Regional Medical Center. They were not wearing seat belts and the license plate was not displayed on the vehicle, according to the KHP.
