The National Weather Service said that the rest of the work week brings more oppressive heat. Highs in the upper 90s to near 104 combine with the humidity to bring heat indices up to 109 degrees, and as such, the Heat Advisory remains in effect area-wide through Friday. Heat could last into next week.
