
Bareback riding and calf roping to bull riding and mutton busting are among the many events scheduled during the 28th annual Junction City Rodeo this Friday and Saturday evenings at the Geary County 4-H Fairgrounds Arena. Rodeo Association President Daryl Blocker said the rodeo has grown a lot. "We've done a lot down there and each year we try to do more."
Rodeo time each night is 7:30 p.m. Friday night will be Tough Enough to Wear Pink Night. The crowning of the Rodeo Queen is scheduled Saturday night, which will also be Red, White and Blue Night.
Rodeo clown Ty "Stormin Norman" Stewart will be featured.
Advance tickets are on sale at Orschlens in Junction City. They are $9 for adults and $4 for kids ages 6-12. Those under 5 are admitted free. Tickets will also be sold at the gate for $10 for adults and $5 for children ages 6-12.
