On Saturday at approximately 0735 hours, Junction City Police Officers were dispatched to the railroad crossing of Ash Street regarding an incident involving a Union Pacific train. As a result, access to the East side of Junction City was limited.
Police said that the train blocked the railroad crossings at Ash Street and East Chestnut Street. Residents were get to the east side of town by taking I-70, or East 8th Street.
The train tracks were later cleared.
