JUNCTION CITY, Kan. — September 2026 — Junction City Main Street announced that they have been awarded a $250,000 grant from The Patterson Family Foundation to support continued investment and revitalization for beautification efforts in downtown Junction City.
The funding will help move several major downtown priorities from vision to reality, including an expanded façade improvement program, development of a comprehensive streetscape master plan, new wayfinding signage, public amenities, farmers market enhancements, and additional placemaking improvements.
“This is a transformational investment in the future of downtown Junction City,” said Jordan McCann, Executive Director of Junction City Main Street. “The past five and half years we have built incredible momentum downtown, and this funding gives us the opportunity to take the next big step. These improvements will support our businesses, enhance the downtown experience, and create a stronger sense of place for residents and visitors.”
Planning and implementation will take place as part of a up to three-year downtown revitalization initiative, allowing Junction City Main Street to strategically invest in projects that create visible, lasting improvements throughout the district.
