Howard Leon Roudybush

Howard Leon Roudybush, 74, of Westmoreland, Kansas died Wednesday, November 25, 2020, at his home.  

Howard was born on October 19, 1946, in Onaga, Kansas the son of Guy L. and Eula Margaret Platner Roudybush.  He attended schools in Onaga, Louisville and Wamego.

Howard worked several years as an auto mechanic at a Ford dealership.  He also was a school bus driver for the Wetmore School District and worked at Oldham’s Sausage (Johnsonville) in Holton.  He loved anything out in nature and was an avid hunter and fisherman.  He enjoyed hunting for antiques and was a rock hound.  Howard lived in several different places in Kansas including Paxico, Wetmore and Westmoreland.

Howard is survived by his children; Carla Hibbs (David) Miltonvale,  Curtis Roudybush (Jennifer), Alta Vista, and Jackie Thornton (Daniel), Manhattan: his grandchildren, Doug Hibbs, Miltonvale, Jennifer Hibbs, Haddam, Leah Barth, Georgia, Brantley Williams, Alta Vista, Elizabeth Williams, Alta Vista, Kyli Thornton, Manhattan, Sawyer Thornton, Manhattan, and a soon to arrive baby grandson; his seven great-grandchildren; and his sisters, Elenora Star, Holton and Karen Gilliland, Topeka; and his sisters-in-law, Irene Roudybush, Wetmore, and Shirley Roudybush, Auburn.  Howard was preceded in death by his parents, his son, Ronnie Roudybush, and his siblings, Verella Roudybush, Patricia Dekat, Leonard Roudybush, Norman Roudybush, and Larry Roudybush.

Private family inurnment services will be held at later date.  The family suggests memorial contributions to Campanella-Evans Mortuary to build a cemetery monument for Howard, and those may be sent in care of the mortuary.
