With Thanksgiving behind us, all eyes are now set on Christmas! Tonight in Junction City, the Chamber of Commerce will host their 30th annual Christmas Parade followed by a Tree lighting Ceremony in Heritage Park.
This year's theme for the Christmas Parade is Elves on the Loose; Santa's Secret Helpers. The Parade begins at 5:30 p.m. and will proceed down 6th street and end up in Heritage Park.
We will be livestreaming the Parade on the 107.9 FM / 1420 AM KJCK Radio Facebook Page. We will begin the Livestream around 5:45, once the parade nears Heritage Park. Click here to watch the parade.
As mentioned above, the Parade ends in Heritage Park where Santa will be present, and Junction City Mayor Pat Landes will flip the switch to light up the new 20 ft tree.
United Way of Junction City / Geary County will be providing free hot chocolate in the park.
