Manhattan man among 3 hospitalized after pickup, SUV crash

MARSHALL COUNTY—Three people were injured in an accident just before noon Wednesday in Marshall Coounty.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2023 Toyota Rav 4 driven by Ning Wang, 54, Stillwater, Oklahoma, was south bound on Kansas 99  one and one half miles south of Beattie.

The driver failed to stop at stop sign at the junction with U.S. 36. An eastbound 2023 Dodge Ram driven by Daniel Lee Broxterman, 72, Seneca, struck on the passenger side of the Toyota.

After impact the Toyota came to rest in the south east ditch of the intersection and the pickup came to rest in the north ditch of U.S. 36 east of K99.

EMS transported Wang and a passenger identified as Naiqian Zhang, 76, Manhattan, to Bryan Medical Center West Campus in Lincoln Nebraska.

EMS transported Broxterman to Nemaha Valley Community Hospital. All three were properly restrained, according to the KHP.
