--The Geary USD Board of Education has adopted a resolution for a Region I Hazard Mitigation Plan. The County and City had already given their approval. The move allows them to seek funding help in the event of disasters.
--The Executive Director of Personnel Services, Tim Winter, is retiring at the end of the 2025-2026 school year.
--David Cunningham, KASB attorney, will be the facilitator for the Board at the 2026-2027 teacher contract negotiation process.
--The BOE adopted a proposed memorandum of understanding agreement and a staff recommendation to send it to the City of Milford. The City of Milford has proposed to the district that they would provide certain municipal services to support the operations of Milford Elementary School.
