MANHATTAN — Kansas State University's McCain Performance Series presents the Gatlin Brothers' "Country & Christmas" tour at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6.The Gatlin Brothers — Larry, Steve and Rudy — are Grammy award-winners who have dazzled audiences for 70 years. They have accrued a lifetime of noteworthy achievements in their career, including a Grammy for Best Country Song, three Academy of Country Music awards for Single of the Year, Album of the Year and Male Vocalist of the Year, and five nominations for the Country Music Association's awards.
The Gatlin Brothers have entertained audiences in venues and stages all over the world, from the Grand Ole Opry to Carnegie Hall. They have performed for the Grammy Awards, the American Music Awards and the People's Choice Awards. They appeared on "The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson," "Oprah," "Hee-Haw," "Love Boat," "The Midnight Special with Wolfman Jack," the "Merv Griffin Show," "Solid Gold," the "Barbara Mandrell Show" and their own variety special on ABC
Tickets are available online at mccain.k-state.edu or at the ticket office in the McCain lobby from noon to 4 p.m. Wednesdays through Fridays. Tickets are also available by phone at 785-532-6428 during the same hours. Tickets for youth 17 and younger are half price for this show. Discounted tickets to this show are also available for K-State faculty and staff, individuals 62 and older, and members of the military. Original IDs will be required to obtain discounts — third-party, photocopied or web-based IDs are not accepted.
