A total of $369,023.25 was pledged during the Greater Geary Community Foundation Match Day Tuesday. The money will be split among 51 local organizations. Donations postmarked Tuesday can also still be accepted until Friday. Local foundations will also provide matching funds bringing the overall total to be invested into the community to approximately $515,000.
Donors providing the matching dollars are:
R2B4 Bramlage Family Foundation, 100,000
Central Charities Foundation, $25,000
Crosby Family, $20,000
Hoover-Koken Foundation, $10,000
Among organizations the top recipient of donations was the Junction City Family YMCA with $35,039.32. The Geary County Food Pantry received $29,390.93.
