Personnel from the Kansas Bureau of Investigation Forensic Science Laboratory provided DNA collection training on Wednesday to members of the North Central Kansas Juvenile Detention Center, Kansas Department of Corrections Parole Office and Geary County Sheriff's Office to include Administrative and Corrections Officers.
In 2024, DNA collected by the Geary County Sheriff's Office and Detention Center helped solve crimes in 4 different states and 7 different agencies.
