MANHATTAN — The College of Business at Kansas State University is inviting high school students to experience what it's like to be a business student at K-State.

The college's inaugural Summer Institute will be June 8-10 and will host 30 rising high school students in grades 10-12 from across Kansas. Participants will create connections, learn about the vast opportunities in the business world and gain an understanding of how to engage with a community to jump-start a successful future.

The institute is supported by the college's Center for Principled Business.

"This new summer institute will serve as a springboard to give high school students a real college experience that helps foster a sense of independence, self-awareness and confidence as they look to select a university and a major," said Kevin Gwinner, Edgerley family dean of the college. "This taste of college life introduces them to the advantages of a business degree and inspires them to explore their full potential for success."

Participants will experience on-campus living and dining during their time at K-State. Thanks to the generosity of donors, including lead corporate partner Koch Industries, all educational, food and boarding costs are provided at no charge.

Camp registration will open on April 25. Visit the program’s webpage at cba.k-state.edu/success/new-students/summer-programs for updates and to register. Contact the Center for Principled Business at [email protected] with additional questions.
