The Junction City Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors met in executuve session for one hour and 20 minutes on Tuesday but took no action. They  met with attorney Michael Montoya of Salina in the closed door door meeting.

Board Chair Ashley King said they're in the early stages of reviewing all the agreements. "Just having an outside person has been helpful just to educate our board on what we can and cannot do on next steps moving forward and what that looks like." King added there was a lot of education on agreements and contracts on how they can move forward working with the city and county concerning the master agreement.

The current agreeent has included the Economic Development Commission, Military Affairs Council and Chamber Member Relations under one umbrella with financial support from the City and County for the EDC and MAC.

Chamber Board member Ron Johnson urged everyone to work together. He noted that they have a mess of their own making. "There's three entities involved here. There's the Chamber big board and then the City, the County. It's just important that we get together and figure out a way forward. We know what we have is awfully confusing, has its complications, so we need to rebuild the structure." Johnson added it's important for everyone to check their egos and work toward the community's common good.
