Attention will soon shift to the Fairgrounds

The Geary County Free Fair runs July 21st-25th at the Fairgrounds adjacent to South Spring Valley Road. There are pre-fair activities the week before ranging from the 4-H Public Revue Thursday evening July 18th to the 4-H Dog Show Friday evening July 19. The Junction City Rodeo will also be July 19th and 20th.

The Fair will include the 4-H Horse Show and the Pedal Pull on Sunday July 21st. Some other 4-H shows include the Dairy, Goat and Sheep  Monday evening July 22nd, the Bucket Calf and Beef Tuesday evening the 23rd, Swine Wednesday evening the 24th 4-H Barbecue and Watermelon Feed plus the 4-H Project Auction and Livestock Sale on Thursday the 25th.

Other action during  the Fair will range from the project and agriculture to horticulture and floriculture judging. There will also be 4-H and Open Class food sales.

The Junction City Fire Department will have a display Wednesday, July 24th.
