Shawn Chauncey, Junction City, has filed for election to the 65th District seat in the Kansas House of Representatives. The long time home builder will run against incumbent Jeff Underhill, who has filed for reelection.
Chauncey wants to work to get the city and county back together on issues. He also noted that sometimes answers have not been received on why things are happening.
Chauncey, a Republican, wants to seek fair wages for jobs, and he expressed concern about Underhill serving on both the Junction City Commission and in the Kansas House. He doesn't feel there is adequate representation for the District with Underhill holding both offices.
Chauncey has built homes in Junction City for 27 years,
