Danka Ellis, a junior at St. Xavier’s Catholic High School,  was celebrated as the JC Breakfast Optimist Club’s Student of the Quarter from St. Xavier’s Catholic School at the club’s Celebration of Optimism on December 13 at the Hampton Inn and at her school in a special assembly.

Danika is the daughter of Joleene and Drew Ellis.  A nominee wrote that “Danika is a very positive person who is kind to everyone.  She works diligently and does her best in the classroom.  Not only does Danika do well academically, but she is also involved in both athletic and non-athletic activities. She is a wonderful role model for others in all she does.”  Danika is a member of the Junior Optimist International Club at St. Xavier’s High School.

Danika received a framed certificate from the JC Breakfast Optimist Club, a $25.00 gift certificate from JC’s BBQ & Grill and a coupon from Marco’s Pizza.  JC Breakfast Optimist Club’s Student of the Quarter is coordinated by Ricardo Gutierrez.
