The ribbon cutting ceremony for Operation Santa Claus will be held at Santa’s Fort Riley workshop, 5306 Reese on Tuesday, Nov. 5, at 4 p.m. 1st Infantry Division and Fort Riley leaders will participate.

<a>Through Operation Santa Claus, Fort Riley and surrounding communities assist local active duty junior enlisted service members by providing gifts for their children. Each child in the family will receive two toys and a stocking, and the family will receive a game or puzzle. Operation Santa Claus is in its 40th year of providing gifts to military children. In 2023 Operation Santa Claus served 756 Soldiers and their families, providing 3,672 toys to 1,836 military kids.</a>
