Nate Butler, Junction City, is preparing to represent the 68th District in the Kansas House of Representatives. Based on the results of last Tuesday's election he was the clear front runner.

Butler wants to work reduce inflation. "We've got to do something to help offset some of the costs. I'm going to a meeting next week with the agricultural side of the House to learn about that. "Butler noted that farmers are struggling with the cost of fuel and fertilizer. "I'm anxious to learn about that and see if I can bring that up to the House a little bit more, be a little bit more educated on it."

Butler has a background with the military. "One of the committees I've asked to be on is Veterans Affairs. " He is hoping to set up some tours of Fort Riley. Many of the legislators haven't been there for a long time.

The 68th District includes portions of Geary, Morris and Riley counties.
